I NEED CAAAAAAAKKKKKEEEEE!!!!

Okay, day three of spring break, everything has been great except NO CAKE!  I really need cake, not just some generic off the shelf cake but LEMON CAKE with lemon filling and Lemon frosting and lemon sorbet to go on it.  I really think it is only fair if I am on vacation I should have cake.

Why don't I make myself a lemon cake you ask, it is very simple, I don't want to, that takes away the goodness, ingredients, mess, cooking, mess blah, blah, blah.  I want the cake to just magically appear.  Is that really too much to ask?  I don't think so.

This morning I was informed the Jazz are playing tonight.  Really, Really why are those fat, boring, tv hogging, whoops I mean athletic, interesting tv hogs on again!  I swear they are on every night.  Don't they know that I might need to watch something, I don't know what's on Wednesday night but I might need to watch it.  When will this tv hogging team season be over?  I can only pray that they don't make the next step when they play for something (don't know, don't care, just get off the tv).  The worse thing is I won't have any cake to help me through it.

The hubster better watch out because tomorrow night a new Swamp people is on.  I will not be swayed, I will not bend, I will protect the remote with a machete.  I AM watching Swamp People and nothing will stop me, unless of course someone drops off cake, but I think I can eat and watch at the same time.   heh, don't even think about touching that remote buddy.

Maybe it would be a good Idea to brush your teeth, Ya Think1

The hubster has the worse teeth I have ever seen and that's saying something because my dad has had dentures for at least a half a century.

So last week he has a cap fall off, he goes to the dentist with these instruction, NO ROOT CANAL or any other expensive thing.  I'm not a tyrant but we are all ready paying three other dentists for work in the last five years.  We like this guy we are going to now, hopefully we won't end up owing him an arm or leg, or even a toenail.  The hubster also has instructions to call me with the bad/good (it's usally bad) news.

Our conversation:

Me:  "You didn't get a root canal did you?"

Hubster:  "No, but (I'm holding my breath on the but) there is a cavity under the gums, so they took some x-rays to see what is going on and he wants to meet with us next Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. (WHAT, it's spring break I don't get up that early on a vacation day!!!)

Me:  "Grrrreeeeaaaatt!"  big sigh.

So flash forward to today, we meet with the dentist after our car overheats three times on the way there, it is less than 32 degrees so why, we didn't know, now we do (leaking water pump).

He shows us the x rays  and explains that he can pull the two teeth that are the worst and fill two other teeth that can wait a while.  My hubster is instantly aware he is going to be without teeth on one side for a while.

He wants to know what can be done, I say, "nothing right now" .  He doesn't like that, so the dentist shows him the falsies (I don't mean those other implants).  I say again "NO, you will have to eat soft food".  The hubster tries to go back around to the dentures.  NOT happening buddy boy.  End of discussion.

Then, there is a long discussion about the blood thinner and what we should do.  Of course, since he hasn't been taking it like he should we should pull those suckers today and I bet no blood is going to come out anyway.

Then I find out fantastic news, because of the blood thinner, I also get  to  I mean have to take the day off so I can watch the wounds for excessive bleeding, did I hear right a DAY OFF!  (oh terrible news, shucks, darn, gosh)   YIPPEEEE!!! Where's the cake let's celebrate, whoops I mean commiserate that I won't be working that day.  Let's take a moment of silence (loud cheering) and drop a tear (of happiness) and of course have cake, only me on the cake cause the hubster's teeth shouldn't have sugar (poor man).

Oh I'd like to thank the accademy, I mean the dentist, let him eat cake!!!!!

Uhh I might have forgotten to take my Meds.

So today, we go to the Dr. for my husband to get his pro time checked.  As they are taking his blood, he says I haven't taken my pills for a few days.  Inside I am thinking "WHAT"  WHAT"  Then when the pro-time count turns out to be 1.6 (bad very bad).  I wanted to bonk him over the head.

I say with somewhat clenched teeth, I mean a nice smile, as we are walking out, "you have to take the medicine every day.  He says, "I just forget sometimes."  What like every other day?

I guess he thought it was fun to lie in Intensive Care last year and not know if he was going to live or die for three long days.  I can tell you it wasn't fun for me and I DON"T want to go through it again.

So,  HE HAD BETTER TAKE HIS MEDICINE OR HE WILL BE ANSWERING TO ME!!!!!!!

I believe after such trauma, I need cake.

I went to lunch with my mom and sis today, it was fun, it was great, it was fabulous, but guess what, the restaurant we went to didn't have cake.  NO CAKE!  Oh the inhumanity!

They're BBBBBBBBBBBBBAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK

Imagine my delight when I watched Swamp People last night and Glen and Mitchell were back.  Yes, my favorite Swamp People were back, whew I thought maybe they weren't going to be on this year and I was going to have to go back to Wipeout. I think those old guys are the gas.  Last night they were getting a cypress log for their porch, it was all quite entertaining.  It's interesting that all the alligator hunters don't want to get in the water for any reason and Glen and Mitchell have no problem with it.  I don't know if they take many baths because they look a little disheveled and in the same clothes all the time, so maybe they think the smell will repel any gators out looken (bayou talk) for food, plus those men are bone skinny (they make a toothpick look fat), they wouldn't make much of a meal.  Now Troy, he would make some gator a nice meal, he has a little meat on his bones.  Yea my night was complete thanks to Glenn and Mitchell.  smiley face here

I love the way the show uses subtitles so that we can understand what is being said.  I have never met anyone from Louisiana, but I wonder if they all talk with that much of an accent.  I went to Georgia once and was quite disappointed not to hear many people with that fun, slow draw.  I have met a person from Arkanas and he was a good ole boy and I NEEDED the subtitles to understand him.

Blah Blah Bleck

In November I was quite sick and they upped my thyroid medicine to make me more healthy and chipper.  I ran out yesterday and you know what?

THEY WON"T RENEW IT, without a blood test.  What is this?  Don't they know I all ready owe them lots of dough, I don't like blood tests and I have to fast.  Fast, FAST!!!! I can't go without food all day while I am teaching, I might be tempted to each one of the beings lunches.

oooh Ganache Tart with Salted Almond Crust  whoops, back on track, just saw the recipe while I was waiting for my older than dirt computer to quit having a seizure so I could type this.  The computer is about to drive me right over the wall.  I can work (blogstalking is work when your computer won't work), for about ten minutes and then another seizure, I know it's old but come on, I have treated it with care, vaccuming out the fan at least once a decade.  Man, and this is the thanks I get, seizure, seizure, seizure.

I was just watching house hunters and there is something I don't understand, why take off your shoes if you are barefooted.  Major ICK factor, I know that if I were selling a house I wouldn't want some else's toe juice on my floors.  I grimace just thinking about it, the germs, the foot flackes, Holy athlete's foot Batman!

I have talked about this before, but today I came home from work with an urgent need to have a little break in the potty room.  I ran through, said hi to the cats and sat down.  Did the furballs say, "Hi, we are so glad you are home we missed you terribly, now that you're back our lives are complete, please take a moment for yourself."  NO!  Princess Lulu walked to the bathroom door and the other two looked around the corner as Lulu gave me the word and let me tell you the word wasn't kind and loving, it was "get off your tush missy and get us some Fancy Feast"  Never mind that I just braved a snowstorm on the way home to go to Wal-Mart, braved icy roads at risk of life and limb so that they could have Fancy Feast and did they lavish me with love after emptying the cans of chow into their special dishes (not plastic, ceramic, for some reason plastic is supposed to be bad for cats) oh, no, it was "Thanks you can leave now while we enjoy your meager offerings."  Their gratitude was underwhelming to say the least maybe next time it will be Western Family (not really I could stand the smell of the after effect.
