I had a lot of ideas about this photo challenge, a messy kitchen, cats eating their favorite food and going out (my personal favorite). Then I was out with my husband feeding the birds and thought this is a perfect dinner picture. Pigeons are interesting birds, they like certain grains better than others and if we sit in the yard and they think its time to be fed, they will line up in the windows or on the roof and just start at us. So here is my rendition of Dinner.

Photo Challenge

I decided to do the photo activity, that my niece found, I don't have a fancy camera but I love to take pictures. The theme this week is Bold Colors. I love bold colors it makes everything brighter.

Flowers

I finally found a battery charger for my camera and have been busy taking pictures of flowers in my yard.

I love flowers, any color any kind. I think that flowers are made to make us appreciate beauty and to make us smile. This is one of my roses, it buds mostly yellow and then blooms mostly red.

This is my beautiful cat Princess Lulu when she was a kitten. She loved to sleep like this. She still loves to get in weird positions. This makes me smile everytime I see her.

I Did It!

I made a goal this summer that I would make 100 hats for newborn babies at the hospital. I did it. This is not a brag, I am just so happy to have had this opportunity to make and give things. It makes me so happy to know that throughout the United States and maybe other countries, little children will have a hat I made, I hope they will each feel the love I put into the hat, in hopes that each life will be wonderful.

Family Reunion

I went to the Kasper Steiner reunion on Saturday, it was bittersweet. I loved having this reunion when I was a child, the Steiner family was so fun to be around, there was always a lot of laughing and joking. I loved my Uncle Eldon's larger than life personality, he was so fun when I was three I told him it was my birthday and he emptied his pockets and gave me all his change. He had candy for us in church and was always ready to greet us like he had missed us terribly. I remember my cousin Jean and her fun spirit, she was so fun to be with and we had so many good time because of her daring. I remember my Uncle Dale who loved to laugh and loved his girls sooo very much. I am glad that he can now be free of his mortal body to run and hug and talk. I remember my Uncle Ed and Aunt Marvella who came from Emmett every year we had the reunion their kind and gentle spirits were so peaceful to be around. I remember my grandfather Leland and his twinkling eyes and his protectiveness. I remember my grandmother Zina and her cooking, no one could cook like Grandma. My Uncle Weldon was so happy, he was short little man but so jolly and kind. These and so many others are now gone from us, but their kindness and happiness live on. I am so grateful to have these memories, just writing this post made me smile, through my tears.
