Building a Nest

Some of our pigeons were moved from their original nesting area, on Monday night we were sitting out there and one pigeon kept coming out and picking up things to put in his new nest. It was so fun to watch the nest in progress. We made it easier by picking up some pine needles from one of our trees and leaving them on the deck. Sure enough here he came, he walked by the pile a few times and then started hauling them in one at a time. We were going in for the night so we put the rest of the pile in the loft so he could still build. I could hardly wait the next morning to go out and see the progress. Sure enough the pile was gone and the nest was built. Nature is an amazing thing.
